With the Superbowl right around the corner, plenty of people are really excited to see Justin Timberlake's half-time show and the possibility of an N'SYNC reunion. It was truly a breath of fresh air when Howie finally had the chance to sing lead. Even though the Backstreet Boys experienced some technical difficulties during their performance, they still managed to make America proud.
Dixie Chicks - 2003
There will plenty who might agree that this performance should not have been on this list because of the controversy that followed them after their performance, but their three-part harmony was really on point and the fly-over afterward was pretty amazing.

With the Atlanta University Center Chorus backing her up, Natalie Cole put a gospel spin on the national anthem. She totally nailed it, too.
Diana Ross - 1982
