#1 Look At Me

One of the most obvious warning signs that you're with a drama queen is when you're constantly being told things like "look at me." This may be done overtly like when she tries out twenty one dresses in a shopping mall and she asks you for your honest opinion. Or it may be done in a guise for instance when your date fiddles with her bracelet or mentions what a wonderful time she had shopping, just so you can ask her and she can tell you all about it.

#2 Your Friends Don't Like Her Presence

The moment you announce that your girlfriend is joining the plan, you get a 100% consensus – either everyone backs out and ditches the plan or they vote against her. The reason is that your girlfriend always has her way of insulting your friends by saying something mean they just can’t tolerate.

#3 She Throws Tantrums

Even though your date may look a gorgeous twenty-seven year old, if she is a drama queen she will perhaps have the emotional age of someone one-third of her age. This is because drama queens are childish in the way that they always want to be the center of attention; they believe the world revolves around them and like a child they cannot understand – or don’t want to – why their needs and feelings should not come first. Thus when anything falls short of their expectations or their wishes are thwarted, your girlfriend may react by having a scene. Incidentally she is only too aware where her tantrums will not work – for example may be at the courthouse or hospital – and thus it is only with you that she makes a scene because she is sure of the effect she will have.

#4 She Loves Taking You On Trips – Guilt Trips

You didn’t get time to accompany her to shopping, and before she even gets free from it, you find yourself memorizing excuses that you are going to give her for your absence. Even then, she would always make you feel guilty so much that you would think that it really was your fault for being busy.

Your girlfriend probably suddenly develops mysterious illnesses at the most inconvenient times, like just before you and your buddies are about to go watch the big game or have a guys night out. This is because drama queens can’t bear not being the center of attention – the prospect of you having a good time without her is unbearable and she will go to any lengths to make sure you don’t leave her side.

As you arrive for a movie or to a restaurant, your drama queen of a date would probably tell you to park your car right in front of the door so that she can make a grand entrance – little bothering with the fact that stopping the car is not allowed at that spot and that you will have to take a detour of another couple of kilometers to come back to the specific parking lot.

For example, if you are running late to meet her somewhere, does she discount all of the logical reasons, such as traffic, errands and unforeseen events, and go right to assuming you were with another woman? If so, it is likely she gets off on the drama and distress such an assumption is likely to bring in its trail - typical signs of a drama queen.

#8 She Reacts Emotionally

The most obvious sign of a drama queen is that she has an emotional reaction to everything around her. If service is slow at a restaurant, she naturally assumes that people are being mean to her; if you have to leave early for an important presentation next morning, you hate being with her. Even a harmless conversation on favourite movies, sports and vacation getaways can turn into an emotional expression of what she feels, thinks and needs.

#9 She Is Drawn To Conflict

When a drama queen does not have enough going on in her life, then she must stir things up. At those rare moments when she has nothing to make herself the center of attention, she must do or say something that will rouse tempers or at least feelings and voices. So you may find that you are constantly defending yourself, even over the most mundane of things.

#10 Her Never Ending Doubts Can Go To Any Extent

While you are frustrated being stuck in the rains for more than 2 hours, she has already imagined you cheating on her with your colleague. Her imaginations can go as berserk as possible and it’s you who has to deal with all her crazy thoughts. No matter how much you try to convince her, she will never trust you and would get on with her drama and emotional blackmail.
