A McDonald’s in what seems to be China went viral in this TikTok where exercise bikes have been installed into customer’s chairs so they can burn calories as they eat.
A McDonald’s franchise in what seems to be China has gone viral on the internet for a novel solution to the obesity pandemic while still offering up their Big Macs.
Instead of making their food healthier to eat, they’ve decided to give people the opportunity to burn up the very calories they’re consuming in real time.
The TikTok shows a custom table made for one person, except that the chairs have built in excerise bikes which let people cycle on as they chow down on Big Macs.
The entire video seems to be a dystopian gym where people are getting the best (or the worst) of both worlds.
While the legitimacy or location of the clip is not yet confirmed, people speculate, it is somewhere in China.
One person pointed out that while it seemed like a smart idea, this probably isn't good for the human body.
"bad for your digestive system lol. don't do physical activities while eating, eating needs a relaxed state so it can be digested well by the GI tract."
This one decided that they now had access to a cheap gym.
"Only order water and workout for an hour 😂"
"calories 📈📉📉📈📉📈" said another because that's just what your body would be doing.
