This Christian influencer’s creepy ‘How not to lust at the gym’ guide is a terrifying glimpse into his mind where he finds it difficult to see women as more than just objects.
A Christian ‘influencer’ was working out at the gym when he noticed an attractive woman. Now at this moment, he had multiple choices. The most obvious one was to just go about the rest of his day being a normal human being.
What he chose to do instead however was showcase to the world, just how incapable he was of seeing women as people and share how his horniness required divine intervention because his mortal being did not have the right amount of willpower to navigate a space that he needed to share with women.
He proceeded to not only reach out to God but also to Twitter and share this enlightened discovery to help other men control their temptations.
“I’m in constant communion with the Lord as I’m working out,” he says. “Today I was stretching and my eyes just caught something, like a girl. And it was quick, but I wasn’t ashamed of it. I just brought the Lord into it and I was like, ‘God, what do I do with that?’”
After begging the Lord to remove the “lust in his heart”, he received this revelation.
“The reason we’re not seeing women rightly is because we can’t see him rightly. We can’t see his love rightly for us. So the moment we know how much…God loves a woman, we begin to honor her, we begin to take care of her, we begin to just…man, it’s way deeper than a good body or a pretty face. And only the Lord can really highlight these things about a woman.”
While so far he was only hinting at misogyny, he decided it was time to take the plunge and ran head first into ‘slut-shaming’ territory, blaming women for what they wear at the gym for his ‘impure thoughts.'
He ended this rant with a seemingly profound thought which is also the title of any boy band’s hit single, “Any time that you can talk to a very pretty girl, you know, try to reach her heart. Try to reach her mind,”
Twitter had a field day with his video after it was crossposted by a meme account. One user said, "Today's "sometimes you get a boner and you need to talk to Jesus about it" Tweet."
Others pointed out how suppressing these feelings and blaming women for having them can often create the recipe for being a sexual predator.
Another wondered why simply being around women elicited such a strong response from this influencer.
