A man who once worked as a 'remote viewer' for the CIA has opened up about some of his observations, which he believes provide evidence of life on Mars.

Joe McMoneagle, known for his catchy nickname as the CIA's Remote Viewer No. 1, has shared his experiences after the agency first began exploring psychic phenomena and paranormal events in the early 1970s.

In collaboration with the Stanford Research Institute, now called SRI International, the CIA embarked on studying 'remote viewing'. This phenomenon involves using the mind to "see" or influence objects, people, or events, even when they are far away or not physically visible.

The program, which was highly classified, is now being discussed by McMoneagle in an interview on the American Alchemy podcast. In the interview, he recalled being given specific coordinates to focus on using his mind and his psychic abilities.

McMoneagle, who also served as a US Army Chief Warrant Officer, described witnessing a massive pyramid-like structure, which appeared to have "monster rooms" inside it.

He vividly remembers seeing tall beings and a violent storm raging across the landscape. Based on what he saw, he speculated that the inhabitants might have used the pyramids for protection from the extreme weather conditions.

He said: "I started getting an image of human beings that were trapped in a place where the atmosphere was turning bad [...] It [was] obvious these people were dying for some reason, but they were humans [...] They were twice our size."

Despite the vivid images he saw, McMoneagle admitted that he was initially frustrated when he realized he was targeting Mars, as he had originally thought he was focusing on Earth.

When he finally got the chance to check the coordinates he had been provided, he saw that they pointed to Mars. The card he received displayed: "Mars. One million BC."

"I hate doing a target where I cannot prove ground truth because then I don't know if it's real or I'm inventing it," he said. "I can't actually sit there and say this is exactly 100 percent correct."

Based on the scenes he viewed, McMoneagle speculated that Mars had its atmosphere stripped away by some kind of cosmic event—possibly something that "passed through our solar system," causing the deaths of its inhabitants.

Later, when McMoneagle requested more recent images of the targets he had been instructed to view, he claimed he found evidence that supported what he had seen with his mind.

In the newly acquired photos, he said he could spot a pyramid-shaped structure near the edge of a massive impact crater on Mars.

McMoneagle suggested that the pyramid might have been manmade, arguing: "If it was there [before], it would have been blown away."
