The climate activists found themselves in a conundrum after they launched a protest in Germany and later they were left unhappy after the workers at the car company left them glued at their places and switched off the lights. One of the activists later took to Twitter to complain about the situation and their apparent mistreatment.
Members of Scientist Rebellion, who are a collection of academics 'calling for a climate revolution', founds themselves in a sticky situation after launching a protest in Germany.
The climate activists found themselves in such a situation after they launched a protest in Germany.
They glued themselves to the concrete floor of the Porsche pavilion in Autostadt and the Volkswagen luxury cars exhibit in Wolfsburg.
The Daily Mail says staff at the dealership let the protestors continue their demonstration throughout the day.
But when the time arrived for the staff and the employees to leave, they switched off the lights and heating and left the activists behind in the same place.
However, later one of the protestors took to Twitter to complain about how the staff at the car manufacturer didn't do anything to help them.
Gianluca Grimalda said: "They refused our request to provide us with a bowl to urinate and defecate in a decent manner while we are glued, and have turned off the heating."
He said some of the activists have launched a hunger strike alongside their glueing demonstration and won't eat food until their demands are met.
According to the Scientist Rebellion website, the protestors have targeted Germany because the national 'economy has benefited much more than others from burning fossil fuels and exploitation of resources'.
They have also accused Germany of failing 'badly at achieving its climate and biodiversity targets'.
Grimalda complained about how they were treated after launching their protest.
"We can't order our food, we must use the one provided by Wolkswagen," he said. "Lights off. Random unannounced checks by security guards with bright torches."

The protestors spent the night inside the dealership and Gianluca says the damage done to his hand as a result of glueing it to the floor has been immense.
His hand was badly swollen and a doctor had to be brought in to take a look at it.
"Doctors ascertained the possibility of life-threatening blood clots in my hand and recommended an immediate transfer to a hospital," he said.
"My health is of course paramount. I accepted to leave this wonderful group and was taken to hospital, continuing my hunger strike."
He explained that the group has three main demands for Volkswagen.
They want the company to 'support the introduction of speed limits on German motorways', 'condone bonds held by VW from Global South, and 'declare infeasibility of 1.5C degrees goal'.
