Lauren Marie Dooley is being held on various felony charges after she tied up her Tinder date in her home and cut him and ordered DoorDash. The 21-year-old victim managed to escape his crazy date and call the police in time for help.
Lauren Marie Dooley, a 22-year-old woman is facing charges for allegedly tying up her Tinder date, cut him, and then ordering DoorDash. The woman is facing multiple charges.
It is reported that the woman allegedly tied her date with duct tape before stabbing and choking him several times before he was able to free himself.
Police took her into custody and she was charged on September 28, with one felony count each of second-degree kidnapping, second-degree assault, and menacing.
Dooley was also charged with one misdemeanor count of false imprisonment, records reviewed by the Law&Crime website show.
Officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department on 28 September responded to a residence located in the 2500 block of E Cache La Poudre Street to investigate an unknown call for assistance.
Police confirmed that the emergency dispatcher told the officers that they were heading to the scene when they were talking to a man but they could hear a woman in the background.
They said they could hear the male saying he was 'bleeding all over the bed' and yelling at a woman 'because you cut me' and 'you’re going to kill me'.
The man, 21, was later identified as the alleged victim.
In the affidavit reviewed by Law&Crime, his name had been redacted for safety purpose.
It read: "Upon our arrival, residents at the apartment advised there was a naked male in the parking lot that needed help.
"Officers located [the victim] who was naked and appeared to be bleeding from a laceration on his left arm.
"[He] was also actively backing away from the suspect . . . Dooley . . . who appeared to have blood smeared on her arms and hands. [The victim] exclaimed that Lauren tied him up and cut him."
The document continued by saying Dooley 'invoked her Miranda Rights' so refused to talk to officials.
Meanwhile, the victim told the officers that he met Dooley for the first time at her apartment.
The affidavit continued: "She then used duct tape to bind [the victim’s] wrists together and ankles together.
"[The victim] found it odd but consented to it. However, when Lauren produced a kitchen knife and demanded he get into her bedroom, [the victim] no longer consented to staying at the residence."
It continued: "Fearing Lauren would harm him with the knife, he obeyed and got into her bed. Lauren climbed on top of him and proceeded to use the knife to cut his left shoulder.
"Lauren then used both her hands to apply direct pressure [the victim’s] to throat for approximately 20 seconds, making it difficult to breath.
"Lauren stopped, but only to procure a belt that she then placed around [the victim’s] neck. She tightened the belt for another 20 seconds, once more making it difficult to breath. When she took it off, she checked [the victim’s] neck for a pulse."
The 21-year-old alleged victim told police Dooley was upset because he was bleeding over her bed.
Due to this, she forced him into the bathtub and later ordered DoorDash.
After eating, Dooley allegedly got into bed with the victim, and according to the affidavit, a knife was under the sheets.
The documents also reveal that the 21-year-old managed to cut through the bonds and escape outside. This is when he called the police for help.
Dooley appeared in court for a hearing on 6 October.
