The staff of one creative agency in England was rewarded by their boss in the best way possible. Arabella Lewis Smith, the owner of the company, rewarded her employees for their year's work of achievements and dedication with a three-day trip to Spain, covering all their expenses from flight tickets to booking apartment for them and not to forget lunch and dinner at some of the finest restaurants of the city.
Ever heard of a boss taking his staff out on a foreign trip for a Christmas party. I guess no, never. Well, don't worry we are here to introduce to you world's coolest boss ever. Arabella Lewis-Smith, who runs marketing agency Salad Creative in Poole, Dorset, covered the cost of the easyJet flights from Gatwick to Spain, for 20 people.
She also paid for the accommodation in the city for two nights. The team upon arriving explored the city together, going for sightseeing and shopping, enjoying dinner and a night of clubbing.
According to Miss Smith, who founded the business 16 years ago said the trip was a reward for a year of delivering digital and design projects. She said, "Salad is a company that cares about its people, and being able to gift our 20 superstars with a culturally enriching trip to another country is a delightful feeling."
She added, "I think getting together as a team is really important and you can see the benefits as it brings everyone closer together. We’ve had an amazing year and I wanted to reward everyone for their hard work. We decided to celebrate in style with a Christmas party to remember."
As seen in the pictures, the trip was not some boring office trip but it was full action packed. The team after settling in at their apartment had dinner among the city's Christmas lights. Next day after breakfast, the team split into groups with some enjoying the backstreets of the city while other exploring El Retiro Park by bicycle.
The team then met up again to enjoy a dinner at a tapas restaurant followed by drinks at Dry Martini which is owned by world's biggest cocktail masters, Javier de las Muelas. Some cool trip it is, eh?
Salad's marketing manager Fleurie Forbes-Martin said, "When Arabella announced the Christmas do to us in a meeting a few months ago, there were whoops and cheers. We were so excited about it and it did not disappoint. We all enjoyed exploring the sites, the great food, a few cocktails and a boogie. It’s all we have talked about since. Our boss is pretty awesome in general but this was the cherry on top."
Last year's Christmas celebrations included a trip to a West End Show while team outings included winter walk in the New Forest and included a kayaking trip.
Salad's currently hiring new staff for 2018, after reading this article, you might be considering to apply there. Because let's just face it, who wouldn't want such a cool person as their boss, who rewards their employees in such an amazing way. Well, if you are applying, all the best from us.
