Courteney Cox Claims Late Friends Co-Star Matthew Perry Still 'Visits' Her

Courteney Cox, famed for her role as Monica on "Friends," recently shared that she still feels the presence of her late co-star Matthew Perry.

Matthew Perry passed away tragically in October last year, found unresponsive at his home in Los Angeles.

The actor won hearts globally as Chandler Bing on "Friends," renowned for his quick-witted humor and memorable one-liners.

He openly discussed his battles with alcohol and opioid addiction, which he detailed in his 2022 memoir, *Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir*.

In December, the LA County Medical Examiner concluded that Perry's death was due to the "acute effects of ketamine" and ruled it accidental.

The autopsy report also mentioned drowning, coronary artery disease, and the opioid buprenorphine as contributing factors to his death.

Following his passing, each of Perry's "Friends" co-stars released heartfelt statements in his memory.

Cox wrote: "I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day. 

"When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share.

"For now here's one of my favorites. To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London.

"But because of the audience's reaction, it became the beginning of their love story. In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say.

"He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind."

Recently, marking the 20th anniversary of "Friends" in an interview with CBS' Sunday Morning, Cox opened up about Perry again.

"I'm so thankful I got to work so closely with him for so many years. He visits me a lot, if we believe in that," she shared during the program.

When asked about her spiritual beliefs, Cox elaborated: "I talk to my mom, my dad, Matthew.

"I feel like there are a lot of people that, I think, guide us. I do sense — I sense Matthew's around for sure."

At the time of Perry's death, the entire "Friends" cast came together to issue a joint statement:

"We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. 

"There is so much to say, but right now we're going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.

"For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty's family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."

Cox then further elaborated when she was asked by the channel about her spirituality. She explained: "I talk to my mom, my dad, Matthew. I feel like there are a lot of people that, I think, guide us.
