But that's exactly what a Japanese boy did when he bravely spoke Portuguese to one of the world's most renowned athletes, FIFA legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
A snippet from Cristiano Ronaldo's Q&A session shows this Japanese fan approaching his icon on stage, and attempting to speak Portuguese to him.
The kid politely introduces himself, and tells Ronaldo how much he loves to play football. But the entire audience laughs at his attempt to speak.
He tells Ronaldo of dreaming about playing with the star one day and also asks for his guidance so that he can reach his goal.
But not Ronnie. As soon as the people start laughing, he turns to the crowd, and scolds them with a short, but empowering, statement.
Ronaldo's attitude got positive feedback from the online community, and most of the comments on Reddit also complimented the kid's ability to speak Portuguese with a proper accent.
Also, as one Reddit user points out, this situation should be very familiar to Cristiano Ronaldo, as he himself had to learn new languages, and speak in public in front of cameras.
