The fact that there are dozens of ‘prank' shows airing at any one time on TV has led to the creators of them trying to pull off evermore outlandish and shocking stunts, and this week, American socialite Paris Hilton found herself the victim of an incredibly tasteless ‘Punk'd' style incident.
It began when Paris was taken aboard a small aircraft by a man who turned out to be an Egyptian TV presenter, and minutes into the flight, he gave a ‘thumbs up' signal for this shocking ‘prank' to begin

As Paris chatted to him and others in the plane who she assumed were just fellow passengers about an unpleasant smell, suddenly, an alarm sounded and when the pilot cut the engines, the aircraft began a rapid decent.
Not unreasonably, Paris began to panic, and when she realised she may have to JUMP out of the plane in order to avoid being pulverised when it nose-dived into the ground or landed in the sea, she panicked even more.
Still the cruel prank continued, despite the fact that Paris was crying and screaming uncontrollably, and pleading, "I can't jump, I don't want to, please!"

The ‘joke' ended when the plane safely landed, and so clearly, luckily for the pilot, he did manage to restart the engines
But in my opinion, it was an unacceptable and wholly inappropriate risk to shut them off for a prank, because the fact is, he could have irreversibly stalled them and been unable to recover.
Anyway, once Paris was off the plane, the man who'd engineered the whole thing told her, "I am a naughty man"
He then revealed to her that it had all been a prank, and as mentioned above, she was entirely reasonably furious.
American site TMZ reports that Paris is now considering taking legal action for the horrendous trauma she suffered, and in reporting on that, the site states, "Paris says it was a lot worse than it looked on video.
"She says the plane almost hit the water during the dive and then steeply pulled out of the dive, almost doing a loop as it ascended."
Well, if she does sue, we don't blame her one bit and would without question do the same in her shoes, though in all honesty, that ‘naughty' man would have been singing soprano for weeks had it been one of us he'd done this too. He may also have needed a proctologist to retrieve his teeth for him
This was a terrifying thing to do to anyone, and made all the worse that it was done in the name of a ‘joke' and to land viewers for a TV show.
It's sick is what is it. Convincing someone they are about to die is an appalling thing to do, and there is simply nothing excusable about it.
