Dakota Johnson stole the spotlight on Thursday evening at the Zurich Film Festival, stepping out in a sheer lace Gucci gown that left the crowd in awe.
The star of "50 Shades of Grey" graced the carpet in a custom-made blue Gucci gown that blended elegance with daring design.
The dress came with a high neckline and long sleeves, flowing into a fitted Basque-style waistline before opening up into a sweeping, layered tulle skirt that trailed gracefully behind her.
Her look was completed under the creative eye of stylist Kate Young, a longtime collaborator.

The "Materialists" actress elevated the outfit further with sparkling Roberto Coin jewelry, choosing diamond and sapphire earrings, a statement ring adorned with diamonds, emeralds, and tanzanite, as well as another ring that paired sapphires with diamonds. Each piece added extra shimmer to the striking lace gown.

At 35, Johnson reached a milestone in her career when she was honored at the Zurich Film Festival with the prestigious Golden Eye Award, celebrating her achievements on screen.
The "Madame Web" actress has become known for her daring love of sheer fashion.

Earlier in the month, at a Kering Foundation gala in New York, she once again chose a Gucci gown, this time covered in delicate floral embroidery worked into the transparent fabric. The outfit highlighted her fearless approach to red-carpet style.
For that appearance, she paired the dress with Fleur du Mal lingerie layered underneath and accessorized with exquisite diamond and emerald jewelry from designer Jessica McCormack.

Back in June, shortly after news of her split from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Johnson stepped out in yet another daring sheer ensemble. This post-breakup look quickly turned heads and became one of her most talked-about appearances.
She was photographed leaving New York’s Greenwich Hotel in a striking Nensi Dojaka bodysuit, styled with a matching tulle midi skirt. The combination created a bold yet elegant aesthetic that captured plenty of attention from fashion watchers.

Earlier in the year, in February 2024, she continued to embrace her signature style with a crystal-studded mesh Gucci gown for the high-profile premiere of "Madame Web.".
The eye-catching piece sparkled under the lights and reaffirmed her status as a risk-taker on the carpet.

"Fashion has actually kind of always been a personal thing for me," Johnson explained to Vogue during a candid video interview at the Cannes Film Festival in May. She recalled how, even as a child, she loved experimenting with bold styles, putting together "some of the most outrageous looks" and trying on the glamorous gowns her mother, Melanie Griffith, once wore to premieres.
When asked what truly guides her choices on red carpets today, the actress kept her answer refreshingly simple and heartfelt.
"I guess the thing that makes me choose a dress for a carpet — I have to feel good in it," she told the outlet, making it clear that confidence and comfort are what matter most to her when stepping into the spotlight.
