Dallas Ranks No.1 In The List Of Cities For Cheaters In U.S

A dating website MyDatingAdviser.com has put together what it calls the 'Infidelity Index' and Dallas ranks no.1 on the list of the 'Most Unfaithful Cities' in the United States.

The website studied 200 major U.S. cities, looking at marriage, divorce and separation rates. It also factored in addition to the number of places to meet for an affair and the Google searches for the word "affair" and the affair hookup website Ashley Madison.

While, Texas cities took the top 3 spots on the unfaithful list, California dominated the list of the cities on the most faithful list.

London-based relationship writer and MyDatingAdviser.com editor, Amy Pritchett, says:

 "The study factored in the population's relationship satisfaction by looking at marriage, divorce, and separation rates.

"In addition, the population's life satisfaction by evaluating emotional and physical well-being, work environment, and community.

“We also looked at the number of venues to meet for an affair, and the volume of searches on Google for affair hookup websites was also considered for the rankings,”

The guiding principle was that you cannot empirically verify how many cheaters there are in any given city, but someone vulnerable to temptation is more likely to have an affair if they're living in a city with a higher Infidelity Index. 

"We evaluated each of those dimensions using nine relevant metrics of infidelity friendliness. The metrics were combined to create a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing the most favorable conditions for having an affair.

"We determined each location's weighted average across all metrics to calculate its overall score and used the resulting scores to rank-order our sample."

Tommy Habeeb, the host of TV show 'Cheaters' has his theories about why Texas cities top the ranks. Over the years, he noticed a good deal infidelity was happening in the warmer climes in the southern U.S.

“I believe there’s [more of] a focus on appearance, a focus on health, a focus on mental health in Texas than almost anywhere,” Habeeb said. “I really started to notice it when we started taping Cheaters.”

“It’s always warmer, and you’re outside more,” he said. “There’s the way we dress and the southern sweetness that comes off as possibly flirting.

“The next thing you know you’re out in the parking lot at lunch and bad things are going on.”

So if you're looking for true love, maybe Texas is not the right place to go.
