#1 A woman received an unexpected birthday surprise after her mother came home with a celebratory cake featuring a rather unconventional topper.

Marie Seggie, from Lanarkshire in Scotland, had ordered a cake to be topped with an edible figurine, reflecting her 21-year-old daughter Laura's likeness.

#2 Marie texted the baker for an edible figurine of a 'wee blonde girl' on top.

She wanted a 'blonde girl' figurine added to a birthday cake for her daughter. They were shocked to receive one with a 'blind girl' on top of it instead.

Auto-correct had changed her order to 'blind girl' which led to that bizarre creation.

#3 Sister of the birthday girl, Emily Seggie, found the incident so amusing, she tweeted an image to her followers, which has since gone viral.

Finding the technology-based error incredibly entertaining, Laura's sister, Emily Seggie, uploaded an image of the mistake to Twitter.

While a phone's 'autocorrect' function can speed up the process of sending messages by guessing the intended word following rushed and misspelt entries, it can also be the source of embarrassment, if the word is indeed incorrect.
