Daycare Worker Fired For Scaring Sobbing Kids In Halloween Mask

A bizarre video of daycare workers scaring terrified kids has gone viral on social media as it shows the employee wearing a 'Scream' movie mask and kids shouting in absolute horror.

The video has garnered negative attention on social media and an investigation is currently underway.

A whistleblower claimed in a Facebook post that the personnel at the Lil' Blessings Child Care & Learning Center in the Mississippi town of Hamilton allegedly tried to scare certain children who they believed had been "naughty."

Staff member Jennifer Kayla Newman claimed she had seen the scaring several times and decided to record what was happening as proof that it was taking place, "The kids were terrified but I knew if I told the owner, it would be a slap on the wrist for them as I've complained about other things in the past and nothing ever got done," she wrote.

One of the recorded videos shows a woman in the scream mask as she approaches a group of kids who are sitting at the table and eating their lunch.

A toddler starts to scream and cry as soon as he sees the mask from the horror movie. As the video continues, the children appear to be more frightened, and several of them start hiding behind desks and bookcases.

One kid is confronted at one point by the worker wearing a mask, who yells at him, "Have you been bad, do you want me to take you outside!"

The video then moves to one of the other employees who looks amused by all the activity as the child in front of him cries in despair. Then one of the workers shouts at the crying child, telling him to 'clean up' running after him, and even lifting him up at one point. She screams at the youngster, then turns around and it seems like she is laughing.

Social media users reacted to the video in absolute horror, in fact, some even claimed that the worker who recorded the video was also part of the prank, but she hit back and claimed that she made the video because she was horrified by the behavior and needed proof it was occurring.

“I did not video this for s- -ts and giggles. It was not funny to me. I did not get amusement out of this,” she wrote, adding she doesn’t appear in any videos and the woman laughing is not her. “I have nothing to hide. I did what I thought was best at that moment,” she continued. “Maybe, I didn’t handle it 100% how I should have, but my intentions were good.”

After receiving backlash on social media and getting fired from her job, the worker in question has responded to the criticism.
