According to reports, the woman lived in Russia's Bataysk and was a cat breeder who owned 20 Maine Coon cats.
According to the New York Post, the partial remains were discovered inside the house, which was also surrounded by hungry cats.
Initial investigations revealed that the woman passed away about two weeks ago, at the same time that the cats started to get hungry. The cats consumed their owner's corpse because there was nothing else to eat.
According to local media, it is unknown if their new owners were made aware of their craving for human flesh.
