If we ask people to share their first date experiences, surely we can compile a very interesting book. Actually, dating etiquette has been a topic of discussion online and remains highly debatable. First meetings are always awkward and sometimes cringe too. However, there are certain unspoken manners that need to be minded when meeting people on the first date. Though, reading this woman's experience, unfortunately, it seems like not many people are aware of these etiquettes.
This woman took to her TikTok account to accuse her date of causing a "scene" for accidentally spilling a drink on the table after she arrived late and then asked for a different table.
The TikTok user known as @blacknbitchy shares the story. The woman shares that she had just left the date with the guy in question who she had matched with on the dating app Bumble and for their first meet-up, they decided to get dinner together in New York.

"I was a little bit late but I communicated with him the whole time and he was acting cool about it," she explained. "He never said anything was a problem."
So when the woman arrived at the restaurant, she shares that her date never mentioned her late arrival but noted how she "couldn't tell if he was being pissy or if we're just like not hitting it off."
The duo had a table but the woman requested for it to be changed to a booth instead. The reason? The lady suffers from a "bad neck and bad back" as a result of a car accident and so needs to be seated in a booth "whenever possible."
So while they were waiting for their booth to be arranged, the two sat at another table briefly. Once reaching their booth, the TikToker explained how while scooting into the booth, her coat "tips over this water glass and spills it all over the bench."
Well, the incident doesn't sit well with the date, as she commented: "Why did he get so pissy and so mad?"
An awkward silence then fills the air as a staff member cleans the spill and once he leaves, the woman told her date that he "seemed mad," and noted how the man replied with a "well duh insinuation."
Upset with what she heard, she told him: "You're lying," but turns out that was not the case as in response he said: "I mean I don't love when people cause scenes."
Confused by comment, the TikToker asks her surprise "Cause a scene? I spilled a glass of water..."
Trying to move past the awkward beginning, the woman then orders herself a drink while the date didn't order anything.
Things only continued to go bad when she told him she couldn't tell if “vibe is going to turn around" and he remarked that he didn't know either which is when the woman decided to cut to the chase.
“So I was like: ‘Okay, well I will leave,’ and he was like: ‘Okay, if you want to,’” she said, and answered: “Yeah, I do want to, bye.”
The video has gone viral on the social media platform and even though the comment under the video has been turned off, it has sparked a steamy debate on the situation.

Some people have supported the woman's stance and couldn't quite believe her 38-year-old date acted in this childish manner.
One person wrote: "At his big age acting like act! Smh [Shaking my head]."
"HE'S A GROWN MAN ACTING LIKE THAT! A child wouldn’t even," another person said.
Someone else added: "38 and he was pouting like that?! Getting bent out of shape over such minor things is a bad sign.".
Meanwhile, others questioned whether the TikToker had made a "big deal" out of the situation to cause her date's rudeness to which the TikToker replied: "No, I did not make a big deal out of it."
