Regardless of the field you work in, receiving a tip for your labor is always a good idea.

Although it's not a need for individuals in the industry, extra money is always appreciated and encouraged and has undoubtedly become expected in serving and delivery roles.

Nevertheless, employees may feel discouraged if they receive no payment from the client for their efforts due to the previously indicated expectation that they will be tipped.

Most of the time, the frustration is held inside, or it could be expressed online or to coworkers.

Although it rarely results in the total destruction of a customer's order, such a response is impossible.

I am aware of this because of a video that was captured by a doorbell camera and shows a DoorDash driver showing up to a customer's house with an order.

The driver in the video enquired: "Are you supposed to pay me?"

The driver countered that "it says zero" on the order, to which the homeowner replied that they had "paid you with the app."

The driver was informed that a tip was not included in the order, resulting in an uncomfortable pause before the customer asked: "Can I have my food?"

Upon completing the delivery, the driver thought of an alternative method instead of delivering the order to the customer as you may expect.

They did this by throwing the food into the garden and leaving.

The customer was obviously unhappy.

Following what had happened, the doorbell camera captured a loud discussion, which was posted online with the following caption: "I don't have to leave a tip! End of story."

The video soon gained popularity online, and many people commented on it to express their opinions about the circumstances.

The driver was in the wrong, as most people agreed, for tossing the order to the ground. However, one person said, "Do they not understand they will lose their job?"

Another adopted the poster's stance and wrote:  "Tipping isn't a requirement."

But many other commenters felt that the person placing the food order ought to have provided a tip.

According to someone who claimed to work for DoorDash, they don't take orders without tips.

Another person expressed disbelief that a customer who delivered food to your door wouldn't tip you, implying that if the customer didn't want to compensate their driver, they ought to have gone and picked up the food themselves.
