A video clip featuring Sean 'Diddy' Combs and Justin Bieber has recently resurfaced online, drawing attention following Combs' recent arrest and indictment.

The clip shows the two stars appearing together on Jimmy Kimmel Live! when Bieber was only 16 years old.

In this video, their friendship at the time is on full display, though some of Combs' comments now seem a bit awkward in light of recent events.

During the interview, Jimmy Kimmel started by asking how Combs and Bieber became friends and if they were collaborating on any music projects.

Combs responded by saying, “I think that we have become friends in a strange way,” and then added, “It’s like Rob & Big," referencing the famous duo of skateboarder Rob Dyrdek and his bodyguard Christopher 'Big Black' Boykin.

Combs went on to say, “He’s, to a lot of us, he’s like a little brother.

“He’s not afraid to call and ask for advice. He’s somebody that industry wise, the record industry is a strong family.

“He’s somebody that we definitely have our arms around and we wanna protect him because he’s genuinely such a nice person besides his talents.”

The rapper continued to express his admiration for Bieber, saying, “He’s one of the greatest kids you could ever know."

At this point in the interview, Kimmel jumped in and joked, “You know, Diddy bought his son a Bentley, maybe he could buy you one also while you’re at it."

Bieber, who is now 30 years old, responded with a smile, “He got me a Lamborghini. I haven’t gotten it yet, though," to which Kimmel playfully asked:

“When is that coming? That Lamborghini. We talked about this last time.”

In a moment that now feels uncomfortable given the current situation, Combs said, “The Lamborghini for a day or two and he had access to the house.

“And he knows better than to be talking about the things that he does with big brother Puff on national television. Everything ain’t for everybody.”

These remarks, once seen as lighthearted banter, have taken on a different tone after the serious allegations that Combs now faces.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs was arrested on September 16 and has since been denied bail twice by the judge overseeing his case.

The rapper has been charged with sex trafficking and racketeering.

Despite these charges, Combs has firmly denied all allegations of criminal wrongdoing, even as 120 new accusers have come forward with similar accusations.

Following Combs' arrest, his attorney Marc Agnifilo spoke to UNILAD about the charges, saying:

"We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Sean 'Diddy' Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community.

The clip has resurfaced following Combs' arrest ABC

"He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges.

"These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court."
