A doctor who says he actually died and was later revived has spoken openly about what he saw and how his outlook on life has changed since then.

Stories of near-death experiences aren’t new. People have been sharing these kinds of accounts for centuries, often describing visions that happen in the moments between life and death.

But while many remain skeptical, some individuals insist that they came closer than most to crossing over, convinced they were about to pass through to what they call the ‘other side’.

Among them is a chief anesthesiologist from Bakersfield Heart Hospital in California, who says he vividly remembers his journey into hell and a meeting with God.

Dr. Rajiv Parti’s heart stopped in 2008, when he was 51, during surgery for prostate cancer complications.

Sharing the story on his YouTube channel, he explained: "I heard screams of pain and anguish. I was drawn in, as if on a moving pavement, to the edge of a flaming canyon. Smoke filled my nostrils, and with it the sickening odor of burning flesh. I knew then that I was on the lip of hell."

He added that during this moment he also heard a voice condemning him for living what it called a 'materialistic' life.

In another interview, Parti — who identified as a Hindu — admitted he was confused when two biblical angels, Michael and Raphael, appeared to guide him through a tunnel.

According to him, this happened before he encountered God, who showed him a life review where he watched all the good and bad deeds he had done, along with their ripple effects on others.

In a video uploaded to YouTuber Nicholas John’s channel, author John Burke reflected on the power of Parti’s experience.

Burke explained: "Rajiv is a Hindu and yet, the same God of light, same life review, and at another point, he later asks this God of light, 'Who are you Lord?'"

"Out of the light steps a man in a robe with a gold sash and a beard, and he says to him, 'I'm Jesus, your savior."

After he was resuscitated, Parti said nothing in his life felt the same. He eventually chose to resign from his position as chief anesthesiologist and step into an entirely different path.

Speaking about his decision to leave medicine behind, he shared on his YouTube page: "My colleagues, when I told them I wanted to resign... were shocked."

"But the best way I could explain it is that I would need to follow my purpose, my soul contract. They were shocked but I didn't care."

"I had felt the power, the source, my own heart calling me the divine being, the divine light being and the instructions were very vivid in my mind."

"That I need to follow my dharma, to help people with the diseases of the soul and help them transform to find the purpose of life which is peace, love and joy."
