An alarming rates of research is surfacing saying that baby wipes may not be safe for our children's skin. Actually, some doctors are saying that parents should stop the use of baby wipes on their children's skin all together. Failure to do so may put your child at risk. Studies report that baby wipes are not safe to use on children because of one key ingredient. Children who were affected suffered with scaly, itchy, red-rashed looking skin.
Expert, Dr. Mary Wu Chang, was the co-author of this official study. She tested many children, and in the end, six unique reactions worried her.

Dr. Chang found similar reactions in five different children. Thanks to the good ending of the first little girl, Dr. Chang had the five sets of parents stop using baby wipes on their children, and all of their rashes went away.

Methylisothiazolinone is the key ingrediant that is triggering this problem.
It's been found in many popular brands such as Johnson & Johnson, Cottonelle, and Huggies just to name a few. Companies are now reconsidering using this ingredient in their baby wipes. Their goal now is to try and use a natural alternative.
