#1 Kenny Cridge was born February 15th, 1940.

This was a time when children born with Down syndrome weren't expected to reach their teen years. Kenny had a twin who doctors focused on while they put Kenny to the side, thinking he was stillborn. But after he showed signs that he was still alive, they resuscitated him.

#2 His mother did the very best she could for Kenny.

He lived with her until she passed away. Next he moved in with his nephew and then finally a care home where he celebrated his 76th birthday. This means Kenny is currently the oldest living man with Down syndrome.

#3 He's even held the Guinness World Record since 2008.

The home manager, Ann Nicholson, says that while this may not be a landmark age for most, for Kenny it's another milestone. "Although Kenny's verbal communication is limited, he likes to chat, has a great sense of humour and likes laughing. Kenny enjoys looking through his newspapers and often plays his harmonica. He loves being with people and we all love being with Kenny. He's an absolute darling. He is so well mannered and gentle which is a real credit to his parents."
