All pregnant women are at risk for certain complications.

But when you're pregnant with quintuplets, that risk increases by five.

Guillermina is one brave mama.

When she and her husband first got pregnant, they were excited. Then, they learned that she was actually pregnant with five babies. This was great news, but meant that Guillermina's body was going to go through some severe changes, including bruising on her belly.

Despite the challenges, what was going on inside her womb was truly amazing.

There were five little babies in there, each of them growing and thriving in their mom's increasingly large belly.

Of course, when you've got five babies in the mix, things move a lot more quickly.

At 31 and a half weeks, Guillermina was ready to deliver. That's earlier than most moms -- but most moms don't have to bring five babies into the world.

Luckily, she had lots of help.

When you've got a situation like this, you need an experienced medical team to help things go smoothly.

She had a massive team at her side the whole time at Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City.

There were eight doctors, one anesthesiologist and several nurses helping with the delivery, all of whom were catering to her needs every step of the way.

When it comes to laboring with five kids, things are a little different.

You can't just lie back and push -- doctors and mom have to get a little bit creative.

Slowly but surely, she got there.

It couldn't have been easy, but this mom powered through.

Meanwhile, the doctors monitored mom and babies very carefully.

In this kind of complicated delivery, nothing was left to chance.

Guillermina and her husband used fertility drugs to get pregnant.

When there are multiple babies, often fertility drugs are the cause. Still, they were expecting two or three -- not five!

Doctors were surprised by the quintuplets too, but everything went well.

"It was not really chaotic. It was really controlled and it was impressive to see how everyone pulled together," said one of their doctors at the press conference.

And then finally, the little ones started arriving.

One by one, they came into the world with their brothers and sisters.

They were surprised to learn they had three girls and two boys.

Keeping them organized until they had names was a matter of literally labeling them by letter.

But don't worry -- they won't stay named A, B, C, D, and E.

No, their names are actually amazing.

The family welcomed Esmeralda, Fatima, Marissa, Fernando and Jordan to the world.

Each one of them was small, but that's normal for quintuplets.

Each baby weighed between two to three pounds. The largest baby was Fernando, who weighed three pounds, 14 ounces.

And as soon as they arrived, they started charming everyone in the hospital.

Here, dad and a delivery nurse admire one of their newest additions.

Dad is still in a state of shock -- in the best possible way.

"We feel like we're dreaming," said Fernando Garcia at a press conference after their births. "It's incredible that we have five."

It was definitely a long road.

Multiple babies is never easy, but in this instance, it all paid off safely and all of the babies are doing great.

Though women with multiple births are at much higher risks, this couple simply got the luckiest situation they could have.

Now, doctors expect that all of the babies will grow normally without complication. The only question that remains? Just how many diapers these folks are going to go through in a day!
