In a recent headline-making incident, Drake took a bold stand against inappropriate behavior during one of his performances in Sydney. Pausing mid-performance at his after party, the Canadian rapper directly confronted a male concertgoer, sternly warning that he would take action if the individual continued to 'touch girls' without consent.
Drake Calls Out Fan For Groping Women In The Front Row Of Sydney Show
Kudos to Drake for his actions. Over the years, the hip-hop industry has faced criticism for how some rap artists objectify women.
However, Drake took a proactive approach and didn't ignore the situation as he witnessed his female fans being subjected to inappropriate behavior by a person in the crowd.
At an afterparty performance in Sydney, Drake halted the show and directly addressed an individual he had observed inappropriately touching several women near the front row.
In a video shared online, 31-year-old Drake was captured on Wednesday night confronting a male concertgoer who he caught in the act of 'touching and feeling on girls.'
"Yo, stop that shit," Drake ordered, pointing directly at the offending party.
During his performance, Drake slammed the male fan, telling him: 'If you don't stop touching girls imma (sic) come out there and f**k you up!'
"I’m not playing, if you don’t stop putting your hands on girls, I’m gonna come out there and fuck your ass up.”
After his forceful intervention, the crowd's reaction was audible, with cheers directed toward Drake.
The applause and support from the audience further reinforced his stand against inappropriate behavior, suggesting that the majority agreed with his actions.
Amidst the ongoing situation, Bella Vrondos, a 33-year-old mother-of-three, has shared her experience.
She witnessed a distressing scene at the Marquee Nightclub in Sydney during Drake's performance.
According to Vrondos, as Drake started performing, several women in the front rows were inappropriately touched by men who surged forward.
'Girls were getting pushed over and groped everywhere, it was crazy,' the Sydneysider said.
'It was not just one specific girl being groped in one incident by one specific guy, it was happening everywhere.
'Guys were grabbing people's bums. I was in the front row and got groped and people were grabbing my friends. We all got touched.'
Bella made it clear that men should never touch women without consent, regardless of their clothing choices.
Her conviction in this matter remained strong even though she herself attended the concert wearing a revealing, figure-hugging bodycon dress.
She added: 'Women should be able to dress how they want without fear of being assaulted.'
'I'm not sure if Drake made those comments in response to one specific thing or everything he could see, but he was just like 'f**k this' and stopped the concert, which was amazing,' Bella said.
'As soon as he made that comment there was no more groping. It was fantastic to see him do that and stand up for the women in there – he is such a positive role model.'
Bella has previously opened up about facing criticism from critics who questioned her mothering abilities due to her breast implants and fashion choices inspired by Kim Kardashian.

I don’t condone violence but I absolutely condone men speaking out. We need more of this. If you see something say something. @drake #TheResistancehttps://t.co/ElYEuFMr38
Another enthused: "@Drake well done last night for sticking up for what's morally right... much respect your way."
However, some claimed the rapper should have ejected the culprit from the club.
"You all know I [love] Drake but that dude should have been kicked out straight away...no threat, no strikes just zero tolerance," shared one fan.

Drake’s action have even sparked fellow musician and Chicago rapper Showyousuck to follow Drake’s example of calling out sexual harassers at his own shows.
While some suggested Drake only called out the man because he knew he’d have the support of the crowd, one Twitter user wrote that his stance is still commendable. “The point here is, (Drake) called out someone groping a woman.”
THE POINT HERE IS: he called out someone groping a woman.

Recent reports have revealed that Drake turned down an offer from Harvey Weinstein, the Hollywood producer facing numerous allegations of sexual assault, to star in his film "The Heist."
After Drake’s manager, Future, “vetted him (Weinstein) with five people and got bad feedback about working with him”, he advised against accepting the project.
