Drake's son, Adonis, is following in his footsteps, debuting with a freestyle rap and album cover art while Drake's latest album "For All The Dogs" continues to climb the charts.
Drake's Six-Year-Old Son Adonis Has Dropped His First Freestyle Rap Song
Drake appears to be facing some competition even though it appears like he is settling down with the release of his most recent album.
This month, the Toronto rapper released For All The Dogs, which debuted on the Billboard 200 and went on to become his 13th number-one album.
His six-year-old kid has released his first freestyle rap song, proving that the proverbial "apple doesn't fall too far from the tree."
The cover art for "My Man Freestyle," which debuted on streaming services worldwide, looks to have been drawn by Adonis.
Lil E$$o produced it, and it features the youthful musician sounding really carefree.
In the song, he raps: "You know which one you want/I don't care which one you want/You can take whatever/I don't care what you do/I will always, watchin' for you/This is the only you want/You will watch yourself after/If you get them dirty, I don't know that."
The young guy may be seen rapping along with some of his songs while playing basketball with his friends in another music video.
Adonis's involvement in the music industry, which is primarily controlled by his father, has grown.
Drake has released six albums since 2020 and is currently the third-most-streamed artist on Spotify.
The second single off For All The Dogs, "8 am in Charlotte," featured the rapper's son in the music video.
He was observed describing the artwork—a piece of A4 paper with multiple sketches on it—that he had ostensibly sold to his father.
Towards the end of the video, Adonis can be seen dancing to the music while his father was spewing bars.
Furthermore, Drake let his six-year-old son create the album cover for For All the Dogs.
With a white dog and crimson eyes set against a simple black backdrop, the album cover was released on Instagram by the singer of "In My Feelings."
One fan commented on the announcement post, "Young Warhol in the making."
"That boy talented," said someone else.
"ADONIS COMING THRU WITH THE PICASSO," added a third.
The 36-year-old is the partner of French artist Sophie Brussaux in Adonis.
Despite his initial denials, he disclosed in 2018 that: "We have found ourselves in a situation and we are both equally responsible.”
"Now, I'm just really excited to be a great father."
However, they decided to hold off on posting any pictures of him until 2020, which is two and a half years after his birth.
