Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's Baby Girl Loves Daddy's Tattoos
#1 Actor and (mostly) retired wrestler, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson loves his tattoos.
Covering the left side of his chest, shoulder and arm to give an appearance of a half-sleeve, is a large tribal tattoo in Samoan tradition. The Rock got it in 2003. The tattoo was done by Po'oino Yrondi, a famous Tahitian tattoo artist while the Rock was on vacation in Hawaii.
When asked about his Polynesian tattoo he replied, ‘The story of my [chest and arm] tattoo is a very elaborate story, [It represents] all the things that are important to me, that I love and that I'm passionate about.'
#2 The Rock’s baby daughter Jasmine Johnson is really fascinated by her daddy’s impressive tattoos too.
During Memorial Day weekend, The Rock took a little time off from filming for quality father-daughter time and the whole while it was obvious that his daughter couldn't get enough of his tattoo.
Her eyes seemed glued to her daddy's tribal tattoo the entire time they spent together, and The Rock posted on Instagram why his daughter loves his tattoo so much and how much his tribal tattoo is a part of the family tradition, which he someday plans to explain in complete detail to his little girl.
#3 ‘After I feed her, Jasmine just loves looking at daddy's tattoos. I think it helps her digest,’ The Rock posted on Instagram.
He also wrote: ‘Can't wait to one day explain to her what all this means. Chat about her cultures (Samoan, Armenian, African American and Italian). And while these symbols may appear to be primitive, unsophisticated and crude - they're extremely sacred, thousands of years old and very powerful.'
#4 ‘My mana (strength). Ironically enough the symbol she's fixated on is our ATUA (our God) protected by the small building blocks of my life.
He concludes with, ‘Yuuuuup, we gonna have some good daddy/daughter chats. Until then she'll continue to use daddy's tattoos as a place to scratch, drool and spit up. #Tatua #PolyCulture #FaaSamoa #Respect #SpitUpOnDaddy #Yay'
