Elon Musk has put the rumors to bed with lab test results
Elon Musk Shares Drug Test Results After Accusations He Used Ketamine While Visiting White House
Elon Musk has responded to claims that he was taking ketamine while visiting the White House by sharing the results of a full drug screening.
Earlier this month, Musk’s stint as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) officially came to a close. With that came reports that his once-tight relationship with President Donald Trump had also cooled off.
But it wasn’t just his outspoken comments about the President that caught attention. New rumors began making the rounds, suggesting Musk may have used drugs during his time connected to the White House.
An eye-opening report by the New York Times claimed that sources close to Musk had seen him carrying a pill organizer filled with various medications. They alleged he was regularly using substances like ketamine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms, and Adderall—sometimes even taking them daily last year.
Now, Musk has taken a step to shut down those rumors by sharing a drug test report from a certified lab, which confirmed he tested 'negative' across all categories.

According to the test summary, Musk provided a urine sample on June 11 this year. The screening checked for 19 different substances, including amphetamines, ecstasy, cocaine, and ketamine, and each result came back as 'negative.'
He posted the test results to Twitter with a simple response: 'lol.'
This revelation follows a heated online exchange between Musk and Donald Trump, which erupted after Musk stepped away from his role at DOGE.
The situation quickly escalated as Musk made controversial comments linking Trump to Jeffrey Epstein. Both men continued to trade insults in public.
Reports say that Trump privately warned Vice President JD Vance to be cautious in dealing with Musk. He allegedly called the Tesla and SpaceX CEO an 'addict' and claimed that Musk had 'lost his mind' since leaving the government role.
The Washington Post added more to the story, reporting that Trump had grown increasingly concerned about Musk’s supposed drug use. He allegedly referred to him as a "big-time drug addict."

However, when speaking to the press, Trump brushed off the issue. When asked whether he believed Musk was using drugs at the White House, he replied: "I really don't know, I don't think so, I hope not."
He followed that by saying: "I wish him well... I just wish him well, very well, actually."
The New York Times report couldn’t confirm whether Musk’s alleged drug use happened during his DOGE leadership or while he was involved in the 2024 presidential campaign. But according to sources, the use had become so frequent that it reportedly led to him developing bladder issues.
After the report came out, Musk fired back in an interview with Fox News, saying: "The New York Times. Is that the same publication that got a Pulitzer Prize for false reporting on the Russiagate? Let's move on."
He also addressed the matter on Twitter, where he stated that he is "NOT taking drugs" and admitted he had once tried prescription ketamine a few years ago but had not used it again since then.
He added one final shot by saying: "The New York Times was lying their a** off."
