Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk have proposed settling their social media argument with a mixed martial arts cage fight. Both billionaires seem serious about the event, which could raise significant funds for charity and draw widespread interest.
Elon Musk To Start Training For Cage Match Against Mark Zuckerberg If $1 Billion Fight Is Agreed
Mark Zuckerberg versus Elon Musk. Meta and Twitter. A billionaire versus a billionaire. What better way to resolve the social media argument than to lock them both in a cage?
If you haven't heard, Musk and Zuckerberg have been arguing online and have come to the conclusion that a mixed martial arts cage battle is the only way to resolve their issues.
Musk, who took over Twitter in October, tweeted that he was "up for a cage fight" with Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta.
By capturing a screenshot of Musk's post and replying, "Send me location," Zuckerberg, who runs Facebook and Instagram, appeared to accept Musk's offer.
'Vegas Octagon,' Musk responded in a tweet.
The Twitter CEO later made light of the situation by joking that he had a "great move" to demonstrate to the Meta founder and mentioning that spending time with the kids is part of his exercise regimen.
“I have this great move that I call 'The Walrus', where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing,” he tweeted.
Musk worryingly added: “I almost never work out, except for picking up my kids & throwing them in the air.”
Zuckerberg, on the other hand, seems to be in terrific form for the challenge after recently taking first place in a jiu-jitsu competition.
It would appear that the Tesla CEO has work to do.
"I haven't started training yet. So if this does happen, I will," Musk admitted in an exchange on Twitter with Ashlee Vance, the author of a book on Musk and the space race.
The two are 'dead serious' about fighting one other, according to UFC president Dana White, who also publicly stated as much.
White said: "Both guys are absolutely dead serious about this. They both want to do it. Mark Zuckerberg hit me up first and said, 'Is he serious?'
"And I said, 'I don't know, let me ask him,' and I asked him and he said, ''Yeah, I'm dead serious'. It would break all pay-per-view records.”
"These guys would raise, you know, hundreds of millions of dollars for charity and, you know, you don't have to be a big fight fan to be interested in this fight.”
"Everybody would want to see it."
The fight might earn millions or even billions of dollars if it proceeds.
You better believe that these guys will truly try to beat each other up as money isn't really a driving force for either of them.
We're all for that, no question.
