There are not many workplaces that understand the concept of a perfect work-life balance. While laws have been introduced to ensure a healthy work-life balance with a goal to reduce the exploitation of workers by corporates.

However, the concept is still foreign in many places where the bosses expect that the employees will slave their lives into their jobs without taking a stand for their rights.

This person took to Reddit's platform of AITA to share his story of how he changed teams at his workplace before taking a week off for a family time. But his boss didn't really like the idea and decided to ping the employee throughout the week, demanding him to keep his work phone switched on and attend meetings too.

Freaked out, the employee took to Reddit to make sense of the situation and ask for advice. Internet was quick to point out the Canadian laws that will help protect him under labor laws and the first thing he needs to do is to report to HR about his boss's unethical behavior.
