Over the last few months, Matilda developed retinal detachment in both of her over sized eyes, slowly turning them pitch black and earning her nickname 'Alien Cat.'

Matilda's owner has taken her to several vets throughout the ordeal, all of who have said that aside from being big and googly, Matilda's eyes are healthy and she isn't in pain.

Matilda's owners, collectively known as "the Servants," are providing constant care. And with help of her online following, have raised thousands of dollars for animal charities and any future surgery Matilda might need.
