#1 Debbie Wolowitz

Her voice could peel paint off the wall and the characters on The Big Bang Theory cringed everytime they heard her calling. The mother of character Howard, we really only ever see Debbie twice. Once while she scoots by the kitchen door while making dinner for Raj, and the other which is an overhead shot during the wedding of Howard and Bernadette. When Carol Ann Susi, the voice of Howard's mother passed away in 2014, it pretty much ensured that Mrs. Wolowitzs face would never be revealed.

#2 Charlie Townsend

In the late 70s and early 80s viewers tuned in by the droves to see what danger three beautiful private detectives would get themselves into that week on Charlie's Angels. While we definitely saw a lot of the Angels, one major character who never showed his face was Charlie Townsend, the boss who gave the orders on their upcoming missions. Only the right-hand man, Jon Bosley ever saw the boss' face. Charlie gave his orders to the cast through a speaker atop his desk.

#3 Dr. Claw

It's not just real people we missed out on seeing their real faces. Any kid growing up in the late 80s will most likely remember a bungling police detective, his niece Penny, and their dog Brain. Inspector Gadget was always solving crimes somehow related to the evil Dr. Claw. Throughout the series, we never saw than his arm and his pet MAD cat. The film version did reveal his face and a subsequent line of toys, but the identity of the original animated Dr. Claw was never revealed.

#4 Mr. Wilson

The nosy neighbor who was always there. At least he lent his neighbors, the Taylors, some good advice, some witty humor, and bizarre personal stories. Of course, we are talking about Wilson from the hit series with Tim Allen, Home Improvement. Most of the time his face was obscured from the nose down by the fence. Even when we thought we might get a glance, a prop or a well-placed actors head would always manage to block the view. It was an ongoing joke that held up through the series and was supposed to be revealed in the finale, but Wilsons face never fully appeared on the screen.

#5 Tank Man

Aside from fictional characters, there are actual historical figures whose faces remain totally faceless to us, sometimes even decades after they became famous. Tank Man, for example, gained world wide fame during the uprising in Tiananmen Square in China, yet no one knows what he looks like. In fact, no one is even 100% sure who he even is, or was. All of this despite being captured on television cameras famously blocking Chinese tanks as they moved away protestors. Will the world ever know who Tank Man was or what he looks like? The odds are very slim considering it happened in China, where they don't take kindly to protesters.

#6 The President

There have been lots of shows based around politics or Washington DC and always had a character play the President. But not on VEEP. While we watch vice President Selena Meyer, played by Julia-Louis Dreyfus, navigate the political landscape it becomes apparent rather quickly that we never see the actual President. We hear about him and all the meetings he is involved in, but POTUS never shows his face to the public. Whether to keep the viewer based on Selena and her job duties or to keep a running gag, the fact that we never see the President is a good thing.

#7 Ugly Naked Guy

You may have heard his name mentioned many times or seen him from behind. However, no one actually ever saw the face of the neighbor on the sitcom Friends simply referred to as Ugly Naked Guy. Considering the time watching him, poking him with a long stick, and the occasion Ross had a naked conversation with him, it is kind of amazing that he kept his identity a secret.

#8 He Revealed His Identity When The Show Stopped Airing

Many speculated the character was actually played by Mr. Treeger, the building superintendent. But that was just a speculation and a rumor. The man who actually played the faceless and rarely spotted naked guy was comedian Jon Haugen. He waited until the series had ended before coming forward to let the world know that he was the Ugly Naked Guy.

#9 Daft Punk

There has been lots of speculation concerning just what the musical duo who go by the name Daft Punk look like. During performances, the French electronic music group are known for wearing their robot helmets. Even when they accept awards, the two are always in costume. That being said, various websites and paparazzi have posted photographs of two men said to be Daft Punk. While the evidence seems pretty good, unless the two officially reveal themselves then we'll never really be 100% sure who the faces of Daft Punk actually are.

#10 George Steinbrenner

So almost everyone, especially those who have ever followed sports, knows who George Steinbrenner is and what he looks like. If you don't know who he is you can Google him for that information and a photograph. #11 The Big Stein

On Seinfeld, we only ever get to see Mr. Steinbrenner from behind or slightly off screen, often blurred a little bit. Come to think of it, we never get to see Cousin Jeffrey either. Maybe if we call up our good friend Bob Sacameno he can clear all of this up for us. Well, in reality, the part of Steinbrenner was an unnamed actor who was actually voiced by show co-creator and comedian Larry David who often referred to himself as "Big Stein."

#12 Carlton The Doorman

If you remember Valerie Harper in the spin-off series Rhoda in the late 1970s, you will remember that she had a doorman who often rang her apartment to alert her of visitors or simply by mistake. Carlton, the drunken doorman in Rhoda's building, is played by Lorenzo Music. He is often heard on the intercom, but almost never seen, only his arm occasionally appearing from doors. He is seen from the back in one episode in which he hitches a cab ride with Rhoda and her friends. The character, though never seen, was so popular that it got its own animated cartoon spin-off, which led way to Music voicing Garfield the cat and other cartoon characters.
