Pokémon GO users felt the pressure as New York's Nick Johnson became the first person to successfully collect all of the 142 Pokémon available in his country.

The complete deck consists of 151 in total but the remaining nine can only be located in specific countries which means that Johnson, or anybody, will have to conduct an expedition across Europe, Japan, and Australia if they wish to ‘Catch ‘Em All'.

That being said, headlines have shocked us once more because a Reddit user _problemz, claims to have caught all 151 of the little critters including the ultra rare Mew and Ditto. But Pokémon users have been scratching their heads trying to figure out exactly how he managed to travel across continents to be the world's first. The answer? He cheated of course.

For the many techies who have the means and skills to program, beating apps like Pokémon GO is a self set technical task rather than a game for them. Surely this ruins the fun of it once they have reached the top so prematurely?

In a new Reddit thread, _problemz admitted that he had used a computer program called a ‘bot'. This bot was written by him to play the game in his place at a much higher pace than possible normally. He wrote that he had earned 280k XP per hour, which is monumental considering that to reach level 40 through honest means you would have to earn 54,000 XP per day for one year. He only used five different 25 packs of eggs, a total of 131 throughout the game.

So what did he receive at the end of it? At level 40 he expressed his disappointment with the final rewards considering that he only received 40 Ultra Balls, 40 Razz Berries, 40 Max Potions, four Incense, 40 Max Revives, four Lucky Eggs, four Incubators and four Lure Modules.

It may come across as insulting to those who put the time and effort into playing by the rules of the game and for those who have an interest in Pokémon, but the Reddit user clarified that he didn't even participate in the funnest part of the game: the gyms. He wrote: "I don't play this game i just wanted to see how far i can push with the given Tools. And i learned so much out of this. I didn't fight in Gyms. And i won't do it. . I find it disrespectful and disgusting to profiling with that".

It seems like there are spoilers in everything that we play now, but do not let this techie's experience discourage you. Now get back out there and keep on walking. People have been organising entire Pokémeets to team up and hunt together.

Unfortunately we know what rewards we receive at the end of the tunnel thanks to the numerous bots and we doubt that Nintendo predicted that anybody would reach the end so quickly. As a result, the company may need to look into making some adjustments so that players have something to look forward to now.
