Marvel fans have been buzzing with questions after the recent release of the "Deadpool 3" trailer, especially concerning a shocking glimpse of a dead superhero.

After a series of teasers and sneak peeks, we finally got a clear view of Wolverine and Deadpool teaming up in the new trailer that Marvel dropped on April 22.

While the full movie is still a few months away, the trailer gives us a peek at how these beloved characters interact after bumping into each other in a bar.

In their encounter, Deadpool discovers that Wolverine has "let down his entire world," yet he's eager to recruit him to help save his own.

Deadpool convinces the "X-Man" to join him for a mission that promises a "big slow-motion action sequence," leaving us wondering if they'll survive.

The trailer is packed with action, but one brief scene particularly caught the attention of fans.

In the midst of intense scenes filled with splashing blood, there's a moment that seems to show a door opening on a spacecraft.

Upon closer inspection, you might recognize the moving object.

It's a jarring realization for fans to discover that the object is actually Ant-Man's helmet, revealing the teeth and bones of a skull inside.

This is especially surprising since the last we saw of Ant-Man was in the 2023 film "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," where he was very much alive.

After the trailer aired, one Marvel fan expressed concern online: "So is no one going to talk about Scott's giant skull still being in the Ant-Man helmet???"

Clearly, this has sparked conversation among fans, with varying reactions to the revelation of Ant-Man's apparent demise.

"Is that ant man's giant hollowed out skull. WTF," one shocked viewer posted.

While another exclaimed: "Omg Ant-Man's skull is ACTUALLY inside of the helmet…"

Some viewers thought the skull was "so cool," and one went as far as to joke, "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was so bad they killed Ant Man."

While it's debatable if showcasing Ant-Man's demise is the best way for Marvel to address critics, another fan offered a different take.

"This probably in another universe," they suggested.

Given the already established multi-verse, it's possible that Ant-Man's skull is being used as a prop in "Deadpool 3," while Scott Lang is still alive in another dimension.

As always, we'll have to wait and see what unfolds.
