Zach Galifianakis left his fans in utter shock when he whipped up a joint during a Tv interview where there was a discussion going on about the legalization of cannabis. However, it was noted that Zach was trying to prove a point in which he did well as many fans commended him.

Zach Galifianakis left his fans unimpressed when he lit up a joint and smoked it on live television to give his point.
The actor was speaking on Real Time with Bill Maher about a cannabis legalization bill when he decided to pull out what initially seemed to be a pre-rolled joint and start smoking.

The 2010 interview sent viewers - and studio audience members - into shock when they saw Zack spin the debate on such a serious topic into another direction.
Guests Lawrence O'Donnell, Reihan Salam and Margaret Hoover debated with Bill about the potential legalization of cannabis for recreational use in California - a bill that was eventually passed in 2016 - when Zach, who was there to promote his movie Due Date, decided to join the discussion.
"It's a tricky thing politically to jump on that bandwagon because I think that maybe people still see it as taboo still," he began.

When MSNBC host Lawrence joined Zach to discuss more on his point, in what is called a bizarre action, in to build on Zach's point, Zach quickly whipped what looked like a pre-rolled joint out of his jacket pocket and lit up.
After taking a puff, while the audience cheered him on, Zach passed the 'joint' to political commentator Margaret Hoover, who had a sniff but decided against taking a hit.
Margaret tried to dump it on guests Lawrence and Reihan, but both passed up the offer, so Zach took it back, casually smoking away his joint with no care in the world.
The kicker was when Zach interrupted the discussion one final time to yell, "Oh my God, look at those dragons!", as if a few pulls already had him hallucinating.
"That's my point, I think that's what people think of it," he told Bill.

Understandably, Zach's move left people in a frenzy but it did help him to prove an important point.
"It’s always hard to win an argument with someone smarter than you but it’s damn near impossible to win one with someone funnier than you," wrote one fan.
"Zach is a man that follows his own rules and doesn’t care what people think at all," agreed a second.
And a third raved: "Everyone will remember this guy in decades, because he's one of those fellas who never give a f***, who are authentic as hell, and that's all people want in an era where everything is bulls**t."

Well, the majority of people might be disappointed to learn that what Zach was smoking was not really a marijuana joint in fact after the episode aired, Bill Maher told the audience that Zach had simply been smoking cloves.
Speaking to CNN's Wolf Blitzer, he said: "If it was a real joint, Wolf, I would have smoked it … Zach’s crazy, he’s not that crazy."
