Female PE Teacher Faces Jail For Romping With Student, 17, Eight Times In Back Of Car
A female teacher could face jail over claims of having sex with a teenage student in the backseat of the car 8 times.
31-year-old Ashley Rison entered a guilty plea to the charges of gross sexual imposition and sexual battery.
The charges of tampering with evidence and providing alcohol to a minor were also brought against her at the time of her arrest, but these charges have since been dropped.
On May 3 of last year, the day the alleged crimes were reported to the Butler County Sheriff's Office, Rison quit her position as a softball coach at New Miami School in Ohio.
She had eight sexual activities with the student in April 2021, according to the charge, FOX19 reports.
Rison was allegedly having sex with the student in the backseat of a car, according to the Butler County Sheriff's Office and prosecutor.
“In addition to what the child tells us, we do have recordings between Ms. Rison and the child of where Ms. Rison makes multiple incriminating statements in asking, begging the child not to report her to the authorities,” Assistant Prosecutor Lindsay Sheehan said in previous court hearings.
According to the New Miami Board of Education, Rison began working for the school system in August 2015 and teaching girls basketball and softball.
Additionally, according to the Sheriff's Office, she was a teaching aide at New Miami.
“Ashley Ra-Nae Rison is no longer employed by the New Miami Local School Board. Effective May 3, 2021, Ms. Rison resigned from her position as Paraprofessional and Coach. New Miami Local Schools has no further comment at this time,” Superintendent Rhonda Parker told FOX19.
Rison reportedly paid 10% of her $10,000 bail and is now out on bond while wearing a GPS monitor.
She might be required to register as a sex offender and face a five-year prison sentence.
On November 16, she will return to court for sentencing.
