It is claimed that a former teacher from a Christian school who was detained for allegedly "bombarding" a student with sex texts also twerked on another teen at his prom.

At the Point of Grace Christian school prom on April 8, Julie Kinsey Hoover, 39, is accused of rubbing her body against the boy, 17, while encouraging him to drink excessively.

Following a conversation with an 18-year-old who made the accusations, an investigator on Tuesday detained Hoover, a teacher at the school in Perry, Florida in the US, since 2018.

Taylor County Sheriff's Office said in a statement: "The former student informed the investigator that at the prom, Ms. Hoover pressured him to drink alcoholic beverages, and multiple times put the straw from an alcoholic drink in his mouth."

The office said that the unnamed student claimed she repeatedly approached him on the dance floor "and started twerking on him (rubbing her buttocks on him)".

She is now accused of soliciting or engaging in lewd behavior with a student and encouraging a youngster to become delinquent.

Hoover was reportedly arrested on Tuesday and released. Records indicate that there was no bond in her case.

Hoover was charged with soliciting sex with a student and was taken into custody in June when it was discovered that she had "bombarded" another of her teenage students with sex texts.

Court records state that on June 2 the student's mother got in touch with the sheriff's department after discovering explicit text exchanges between Hoover and her son.

Investigators discovered that the texts were sent between March and April 2022, when the student was registered for various courses with Hoover.

When the second teen was questioned, Sheriff's Investigator Brian Cruse was looking into charges of wrongdoing against Hoover, according to the police.

According to the sheriff's office, Cruse spoke with two witnesses who supported the teen's story.
