Former Miss Ukraine has taken to her social media to address the world and urge them to support Ukraine and fight against Russia to help save the lives of her countrymen. Anastasiia Lenna says that she has no military training and is a normal human being like the other people out there, she might not end up on the frontline but she will support her country and make sure that the invaders won't win in this bloody war.
A former beauty queen of Ukraine has warned Russians of being a part of Vladimir Putin’s plan of invasion of her country: “Everyone who crosses the Ukrainian border with the intent to invade will be killed!”
Anastasiia Lenna represented her country in the 2015 Miss Grand International beauty contest. She recently took to Instagram to post her picture of wearing combat gear and brandishing a rifle.
Laughing at the poor communication and navigational skills of the Russians, Lenna urges the people of her country to take down road signs to make it hard for the invaders to find their way around. “The enemy has a pathetic connection, they don't orientate the terrain. Let's help them go straight to hell," she wrote.
Talking about the controversy of Ukraine becoming a part of NATO, Lenna jokingly says: "Our army is fighting so well that NATO should apply for entry into Ukraine.”
Though she still asks NATO to support and help Ukraine: "Share information about situation. Ask NATO to close sky! Help us Ukrainian people to stop Russian aggression.”
Ukraine continues to suffer badly as the waged war against them forces to flee their country as refuges. The residential areas are increasingly coming under fire from Russian artillery, the defenders are struggling to find food and clean water.
Talking to CNN, US-born fighter Andrey Liscovich who travelled from California to the city of Zaporizhzhia says the Ukrainian volunteer soldiers have little in the way of donated supplies other than guns and need socks and underwear.
Andrey said he accepted the fact that he could die and made his will on the flight to Ukraine, stating that he hopes to remain brave till the end.
As a symbol of Ukraine’s steadfast refusal to surrender, Lenna also uploaded a photo of her baby sleeping on a folded set of combat fatigues, with her boots, cap and walkie-talkie arranged nearby.
She wrote: “Nobody can stop new life. Nobody can stop us. Every day our woman bring new babies”.
She is a big fan of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who she calls "a true and strong leader".
Warning that Ukraine’s defenders will “write with blood on our land” she reveals that she may not end up on the front line herself.
“I am not a soldier, just a human,” she writes. “Due to the current situation, I want to speak.
“I am not in the military, just a woman, just normal human. Just a person, like all people of my country”.
Lenna says that she has no military training, however, she has played the combat game Airsoft for many years.
A marketing and management graduate from Slavistik University in Kyiv, Lenna is a former model and previously worked as a public relations manager in Turkey.
Lenna pleads to the world to support Ukraine, writing: "Stop war in Ukraine! No people should die! We can stop all this together".
A few days back, several thousand women protested outside the Russian Embassy in Lithuania's capital, calling on the country's mothers to "stop this war".
According to the protesters, "if only" Russia's women showed an opposition to the war, the leadership may take notice and make a U-turn.
