Girl Born Without Arms Conquers US Stage With Ballet Performance, Leaving People In Awe

Vitória Bueno was born in the Brazilian village of Santa Rita Do Sapucai. She was born without arms, shocking her mother, who couldn't have predicted the rare genetic disorder that caused it. She didn't, however, allow anything to disrupt her positive outlook.

Bueno had a difficult time growing up because she occasionally turned into a spectacle for the people of her little hometown. People from the neighborhood would occasionally queue up outside their home to view young Bueno and would occasionally pull her sleeves to stare at her, according to her mother Wanda.

Bueno chose to focus on her love of dancing rather than on the insensitivity of others. Her physiotherapist saw her dancing around the room one day and encouraged her mother to enroll her in dance classes for professionals.

She eventually mastered the ability to do things with her feet instead of her hands, including eating, drinking, tying shoes, dressing, opening the blinds in her room, applying her own makeup, and even going on shopping trips.

The young ballerina found safety and pleasure in dancing and had been performing for as long as she could remember. "I feel a very strong connection with my body when I'm dancing. Whether it's ballet, jazz, or tap dance, I'm completely in the moment, as if nothing else matters," said Bueno.
