Everyone loves getting cards for their birthday. But a Tennessee woman got a card from her father that she'll cherish forever. Sellers shared this photo on Twitter on her 21st birthday on Nov. 24, 2017, along with the flowers and card her dad arranged to have sent to her. He pre-paid for five years worth of deliveries, from her 16th birthday to her 21st, before he died of cancer at 56.

Bailey Sellers, who's originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, was a sophomore in high school then and opted to drop out of school to help her mother take care of her late father.

"I became home-schooled so that I could help my mom out ... because he couldn't work anymore," she added.

It was during those times that the bond between father and daughter grew even tighter.

"We were sitting on the couch -- and it was about a month before he passed away -- and he said he had already done it. That this was what his plans were," Kristy Sellers recalled. "He said, 'I'm going to do it until her 21st birthday. And if she's married, ask her significant other to send her flowers in remembrance of me.'"

And the late Michael Sellers didn't just remember his youngest child. He had special surprises for each of his kids, according to Bailey Sellers.

“Ever since my dad passed away I’ve hated my birthday and I dread it every year because he always made it so special”

In the card that came with this year's flowers, Mike Sellers told his daughter this would be his last letter to her "until we meet again" and that she shouldn't shed any more tears over him.

Attached to the flowers, Bailey found a handwritten love letter from her dad.

"I was especially dreading my 21st because I knew it would be the last year."

But this year, the flowers and card that went along with them were particularly emotional.

"I broke down," said the Eastern Tennessee University Student.

"That letter was very very awesome and sad all at the same time."

The note from her father said: "This is my last love letter to you until we meet again. I do not want you to shed another tear for me my baby girl for I am in a better place."

Her father’s gesture, combined with his message on the card, touched people the world over, and her tweet generated many responses.

Twitter users quickly responded to Sellers’ post, calling it both “heartwarming,” and “heartbreaking”

The psychology student has been posting pictures of her flowers on social media every year but was surprised when the image went viral this time.

The post has already been retweeted over 280,000 times and received over a million likes.

“I honestly think that was my dad. He was trying to make my birthday spectacular,” she said.
