#1 Since age four, the now 8 year old adorable Gabi Mann from Seattle, WA, has fed the crows in her neighborhood every single day.

#2 Now the peckish birds are finally showing their appreciation for her kindness – by showering her with an assortment of gifts.

#3 It was in 2011 on her route to school that the neighborhood crows first flocked to Gabi, now eight, who was prone to dropping food for them to gobble up.

#4 Eventually, the crows became accustomed to Gabi’s generous donations and began to await her arrival at the bus stop.

#5 Two years later, Gabi’s feeding sessions have became a regular feature in her daily routine.

Every morning, she now fills her birdbath with water, stocks bird feeder platforms with peanuts, and lobs dog food into the grass for them to feats on.

It was after she adopted this ritual that the gifts started appearing.

#6 She preserves each item for posterity by individually wrapping and organizing them by date.

#7 A black button, a miniature silver ball and a blue Lego piece were among the trinkets presented to Gabi by her feathered friends.

#8 Although surprising, this behaviour is not irregular for crows, which are known to hoard miscellaneous items.

John Marzluff, professor of wildlife science at the University of Washington, says that if you want to form a friendship with crows, the key is to reward them consistently. Marzluff, an expert on crows and raven, said: "I can't say they always will [give presents], but I have seen an awful lot of things crows have brought people."

#9 However, despite Gabi’s good intentions, not everyone has taken kindly to her feeding sessions.

A $200,000 law suit has been launched by neighbors who claim the Manns are running an illegal "large-scale feeding operation".

The Manns have not been available for comment.

#10 KIRO TV is reporting that the neighbors in the posh area of Portage Bay have files a suit against the family because of the birds and the disturbances they cause.

According to the lawsuit, "Large numbers of birds swarm the feeding operation daily, leaving behind dirt, feathers, peanut particles and shells, feces and urine on the surrounding properties." They say the food left out is attracting an inordinate number of crows, seagulls, pigeons, and even rats.

#11 Allegedly, the parents have hired employees to fill the feeding troughs, which are topped up a half-dozen times a day.

The families are also requesting that the Mann family limit the quanity of food deposited into the various feeding stations to a quarter pound of food a day; presently, the quantity of food greatly exceeds this.
