Grandma #1

This young girl has such a thoughtful grandmother!

With the family gathered around the tree opening gifts, it came time for this girl to open the gift her grandmother got her. It was such a tiny box, and because big things come in small packages, she thought wow Grandma must have got me something really special. Underneath the wrapping was a small box. She carefully opened the box and to her surprise she finds a gift card...not just any gift card....but a FAKE gift card! She looked at her grandmother, then looked at the box again and thought "What is going on here?" And that is when her grandmother says "Its a gift card holder, you can put all your gift cards in there." She began to laugh and said "Nooo, YOU are supposed to put a gift card in there to give someone!" They had a good laugh! Bless her sweet grandmother heart!

Grandmother #2

Well she is actually a "step grandmother" but she still counts!

Home from college for the holidays, this young man's step grand mother, only knowing that he is studying to be a "doctor" she gave him a shirt for Christmas that said "I'm not a gynecologist but I'll take a look". Beings that she didn't speak English very well, he translated it for her. She became instantly embarrassed! Although he was NOT studying to be a gynecologist he wore the shirt all day all in good fun!

Grandma #3

This young lady went to visit her grandmother in the nursing home for Christmas. Surely grandma's intentions were pure, however when she opened her gift, to her surprise her grandmother had given her a hospital gown and a douche! Proudly the grandmother said "That would make a lovely dress if you could sew the back up!" And the douche, well I am sure she was thinking it was perfume! Did I mention that this sweet old lady has dementia and thinks that the nurses are stealing her teeth at night?!

Grandma #4

It is always nice to receive something from grandma that she made with her own hands right? Well maybe not, especially for this young lady.

When she was little, her grandmother would knit all the grandchildren wool sweaters. Turns out that she was allergic to wool and even though she would break out in hives, her grandmother didn't care. In fact she would become very upset if she didn't wear the sweater and would make her wear it all day. Even after Christmas was long over, every time she would see her she would ask her to wear the sweater!

This family does a Secret Santa exchange but this one thing gave away who this gift was from!

This young lady was opening her gift and inside she found a nice Christmas sweater....not so bad right? Well along with the sweater where a stained pair of "granny panties". Apparently grandmother was doing laundry and wrapping gifts at the same time and added her undies in with the gift instead of throwing them in the laundry! How embarrassing!

Grandma #6

Now this one is pretty funny!

When this woman was about 8 years old, her great grandmother gave her a present that was rectangle in shape. She thought it was probably a sweater! Yeah, what every 8 year old girl wants right? When she opened it she discovered that is was a box of Fruity Pebbles! Not only that it was half empty! What makes this story so funny is that her cousin got the other half in a zip lock baggie! Great grandmother wasn't being cheap I am sure, after all she went through the great depression and was probably just trying to be practical.

Grandma #7

This guy, only being 15 at the time received a Christmas gift from his grandmother that turned out to be totally useless in more than one way.

She gave him 3 $5 off coupons off a purchase of $50 or more on clothes. She got the coupons free as part of a promotion. Being only 15 at the time, he didn't really have that kind of money to spend on clothes especially at a store he really didn't like (15 year olds can be so picky!) and to make it even worse, the coupons expired on December 23rd!

Gotta love grandma for trying!
