In Charlotte, North Carolina, the Comedy Zone was entered by a man suspect who, according to police, was carrying a gun. After that, he started yelling at audience members and even fired a few bullets, thankfully, no one was hurt.
Before comedian Craig Robinson was about to take the stage on Saturday night in Charlotte, North Carolina, a shooter began firing at the Comedy Zone. Robinson was compelled to end his act and leave the venue.
According to Deadline, the shooter rushed into the comedy club shortly after 9 p.m., displayed his firearm, and yelled for everyone to leave.
The suspect was apprehended, and no one was hurt in the incident, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Robinson informed his Instagram followers about the event.
“I’m performing at the Comedy Zone in Charlotte, North Carolina. There was an active shooter in the comedy club,” the former star of The Office said once he was safely out of the venue.
“So they moved us over to this concert going on, and it’s Big Time Rush. So I thought I would share it with y’all.” Big Time Rush is playing at the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre when Robinson's video starts and when it is shown in the background.
Robinson explained what happened at the Comedy Zone as he proceeded to capture the show. “Big Time Rush to the rescue,” he said. “I’m safe. It’s cool. We cool. It was just wild. I was in the green room, and everybody was like, ‘Get out.’ It was wild. It was a moment for sure.”
