Guy 'Cat-Proofs' His Christmas Tree — But Someone Takes It As A Challenge

This is Kanye, a cute feline who clearly adores all things about Christmas.

Maybe, just a little bit too much, perhaps.

Daniel James Wallace, Kanye's owner, chose to decorate his home this year with a smaller Christmas tree that his cat could more readily enjoy.

However, after it was decorated with lights and glittering accents, Kanye's gratitude seemed a lot like ruin.

His tiny paws were unable to stay off the object.

Wallace decided to "cat-proof" the tree—hanging it upside down from the ceiling and out of Kanye's grasp—in order to address the matter.

Of course, he could still look at it from there. But looking was not going to be enough for Kayne.

The Christmas tree's move to the ceiling appears to have presented Kayne with a challenge, one that he was more than willing to take on.

The cat started hatching a plan.

Wallace may have been feeling reassured that his efforts to cat-proof his home had not been in vain as he observed this:

A determined Kanye set his eyes on the tree with one enormous leap and a quick scramble up the wall.

And he understood it, too.

Now that the Christmas tree was back in its original location on the floor, in disorder, Kanye was happy with it.

Though Wallace may not have liked the setup, he found Kanye's actions funny enough to post it online with the description, "Hang it from the ceiling they said..."

All of it was lighthearted.

"I thought it was hilarious," Wallace told The Dodo.

Christmas is, after all, all about love and acceptance, even though spending it with a cat can occasionally take a somewhat different form.

Kanye's playful spirit added a unique and unforgettable twist to the holiday season.
