After watching the film Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Harrison Ford had a brutally honest yet unforgettable message for his Shrinking co-star Jason Segel, especially regarding one scene that left little to the imagination.

For anyone familiar with Ford, it’s no surprise that he tells it like it is. The Indiana Jones star is famously direct. Whether he's talking about his long acting career or even brushing off praise from Donald Trump about Air Force One with a blunt “it was a movie,” he doesn’t mince words.

So naturally, when Ford watched Segel bare it all in the 2008 romantic comedy, he didn’t hesitate to give his straight-up thoughts about the now-iconic full-frontal moment.

In the film, Segel plays a heartbroken music composer who’s left reeling after his actress girlfriend, played by Kristen Bell, abruptly breaks up with him. In an attempt to heal, he heads off to Hawaii, but things don’t exactly go smoothly.

During an interview with Variety, Segel sat down with longtime friend Seth Rogen and revealed that they had approached Harrison Ford for the role of Dr. Paul Rhoades in their show Shrinking.

"We got Harrison Ford because Harrison Ford is the kind of person you make an offer to so that for three days you can say, 'We've made an offer to Harrison Ford,' and then you'll pick the real guy."

Segel added that Ford didn’t really know who he was at the time. But that quickly changed once he read the Shrinking script and was shown clips from Segel’s earlier work.

Among those clips was a scene from Forgetting Sarah Marshall that fans definitely remember - where Segel’s character gets dumped while standing completely naked in his living room.

After viewing it, Ford didn’t stay quiet. He sent a rather bold message to Shrinking producer Bill Lawrence.

"Then, apparently, Bill Lawrence got a text that said, 'I'm in. And tell the kid, great d**k.'" Segel told Variety as he laughed at the memory.

Rogen chimed in right after, saying: "Even if he was out, that would be great. I would take that."

Looking back on filming that unforgettable moment, Segel told Vulture back in 2015: "I thought that was hilarious. I was actually not very uncomfortable doing it. I really felt free."

"You have to put it in the context that this was 2006, 2007, and this hadn't been done before, in my recollection, where the main guy was going to be naked in the first five minutes of the movie."

As it turns out, Segel had once found himself in a similar, awkward situation in his own personal life too.

On Conan O’Brien’s Needs A Friend podcast, he shared the story: "She arrived at the house and I had decided that the way to really kick off this sex was that I was waiting on the couch totally naked, like posed."

"So she walked in and there I am lying, and I said, 'I've got a surprise for you,' and then she said, 'We need to talk'."

Now, that’s definitely one way to bring a relationship to a sudden end.
