This story is about a man who discovers that homeless people are human beings too. This just goes to show that although you might assume things about homeless people, you never know the full story.

#2 Meet JH Cavazos

JH Cavazos, a father of two who had lost his beloved father not too long ago, was restless one night. This was a familiar feeling for Cavazos, as he had trouble sleeping ever since his father's death. It became somewhat of a ritual for Cavazos to take his father's old truck out for a drive on the nights he couldn't sleep.

#3 One Night, Something Strange Happened

Just like every other night, Cavazos hopped in his dad's truck, and pulled out the laminate photo of his father that he kept in the truck. He spoke to the picture as if it were his father, "Hey dad, I'm just taking your truck out for a drive." The drive went as normal, until he came across a homeless man...

#4 Cavazos Bought The Guy Some Food

Cavazos and the homeless man struck up a conversation, and they got on pretty well. Seeing how nice the old man was, Cavazos decided to buy him some food. The two sat in the truck eating, continuing to talk.

#6 He Recognizes Cavazos' Father

Then the unthinkable happened. The homeless man, using Cavazos' glasses, took a closer look at the picture. Then he suddenly turned to Cavazos. "I recognize this man," he said. This homeless man knew Cavazos' father because he once had a sick daughter that needed medicine. Cavazos' father, who ran a pharmacy, made sure that this man got the medicine his daughter needed to survive.

#7 They Are Still Friends

The two formed a friendship that would last their lifetimes. Cavazos gave the homeless man his cell phone number and told him to call him whenever he needed anything. This story proves that there is sometimes more than meets the eye when it comes to homeless people.
