Steve and Lindsay Peace from Calgary have 3 children: Elliot, Hamish, and Ace. But a year ago the, the 15-year-old Ace came out as transgender and has since begun to live as a male. His father Steven, who owns a tattoo studio thus thought that it was time to make a few changes. So he uploaded this picture to Facebook:

"This tattoo is on my wife. She has mini portraits of all of our kids that are 10 years old and all need a little going over. As our oldest child Ace is FTM transgender we need to update the tattoo to fully represent who he is in his happy new awesome life."

Ace is more than satisfied to be immortalized as a boy on his mother's family portrait. "It felt like the old picture didn't really reflect me, didn't really show our family for that person doesn't exist anymore," says the teenager.
