Here Is A List Of Things That Only Men Can Get Away With

I find it totally unfair that there are so many things that men can get away with and I cannot because I am a woman. No matter how old we are, women are expected to act a specific way. Why do girls have to be on their best behavior while "boys will be boys"? The male race not only gets to get away with everything, they seem to be appreciated for being clumsy and unkempt. Let a woman try it, and we get deemed un-lady-like.

Gain Weight

Weight is always more of a "woman's issue". When men bulk up, they get praise from their friends, but once a woman starts to put on some pounds, they are ridiculed. It seems like women are expected to look like supermodels, but guys can get away with looking like an overstuffed sausage.

Body Hair

Body hair is considered masculine. So, if you are a woman, you are expected to have the least amount of hair possible across all parts of your body. While a guy could look like a gorilla with all of their body hair, we get teased and called things like "Chewbacca" for participating in 'No Shave November.'

Sweat

The more a guy sweats, the more masculine he feels and appears. Let a woman sweat like a pig, and she will be treated like a lepper.

No Makeup Worries

Women are judged by the makeup they wear. Too much and you are picked apart for being fake. Too little or none at all and people think you must not be feeling well. And, God forbid you have a pimple and have not covered it flawlessly. Most men do not wear makeup and can get away with having pimples without being judged.

Fashion Advice

Let's face it, most men just do not need it. Any guy can throw on a pair of jeans and a graphic tee and look great. You never hear their guy friends suggesting that they were a different top or tie or shoes. Women, on the other hand, will pick apart everything another woman is wearing. A woman may have more fashion sense than a man, but they are not always nice about their opinions.

Aging

Did you know that women should start taking preventative measures against aging in their early 20s? It's true. We have to use moisturizers and anti-wrinkle creams at such a young age, but men just don't use that stuff at all and many age so gracefully. It doesn't seem fair.

Eyebrows

Men can get away with their eyebrows looking any kind of way. Most of them have never had them plucked, waxed, or threaded. They have no idea the kind of pain women go through to have that perfectly maintained brow.

Face Scultping

Why are women always reminded of the perfect face shapes and how their features should be? Men are not expected to contour or sculpt their face according to the set expectations. Men get away with being themselves on a daily basis. Why can't women?

Sweatpants

Why is that men can wear sweatpants anywhere, but it is only acceptable for women to wear them for a trip to Walmart? Even then, we might end up part of some viral internet meme.

Bed Head

While a man can get away with rocking his bed head, a woman cannot. Women, most of the time, will not even leave their bedroom without having their hair brushed. It just makes us so mad that guys can get away with the "dirty look", but women have to look perfect or be ridiculed.

Going Topless

Men can easily take off their shirts when they are feeling hot or if something gets on their shirts. Women, on the other hand, cannot even think about trying something like that. There are social norms that have been set and if women decide to go topless, they will be blacklisted by the society.

Bathroom Freedom

We can all agree that men have the best advantage of all. They can pee standing up, and they can go just about anywhere. While a woman will twist and squirm her way to the closest bathroom, a guy can whip it out in the closest bush. It just does not seem fair.

Religion

Although, men and women can practice just about any religion, in some religions women cannot do the same things as men. For example, in India, the women are not allowed to visit their temples because that is something only the men can do.

Hitting the Gym

Men can pretty much go to the gym whenever they want. Women cannot always do the same. Women who may be on their menstrual cycle are likely to avoid the gym. Also, if a woman is pregnant, she may be advised by her doctor to stay away until after the baby is born. Since men do not go through half the stuff women do, they can hit the gym more often.

Stupid Decisions

Men are known to make stupid decisions on the fly. Women will almost always take the smarter route. A woman will think out her plan thoroughly and have a plan for any contingencies that may come up.
