Hilaria Baldwin Speaks About 26-Year Age Gap With Husband Alec And Says ‘Sometimes I’m His Mommy’
Hilaria Baldwin has talked openly about her relationship with Alec Baldwin and their 26-year age difference.
Alec, 65, and Hilaria, 39, dated for the first time in 2011 before being hitched in 2012.
Since then, the couple has given birth to seven kids together.
Despite the age gap, Hilaria has jokingly claimed that she doesn't have any "daddy issues."
She told Romper: “At the beginning of our relationship, everyone was like, ‘She must have daddy issues because she’s married to somebody older. But it’s actually the opposite.”
The mum-of-seven added: “Am I his mommy? Sometimes I’m his mommy. Sometimes.”
Ilaria, a nine-month-old daughter, was just welcomed by the couple.
They also have Carmen, age nine, Rafael, age seven, Leonardo, age six, Romeo, age five, Eduardo, age two, and Maria Lucia, age two.
Every child receives not one, but two daily baths, somehow.
One when they wake up and one before bed.
Hilaria said: “They’ll literally just line up. And we go 1, 2, 3, really fast, hair, shampoo, in and out. I spray them.”
“When I was younger, I read ‘Cheaper by the Dozen. And the only thing I remember about the book is that they figured out the most efficient way to use a bar of soap.”
Hilaria has also admitted that she enjoys giving birth, comparing it to "going down a really scary water slide."
She added: "And then you get to the bottom, and you’re like, ‘I want to do this again'."
The podcaster is very frank about people being curious about her family.
She said: “People like to have a lot of opinions about women’s reproductive choices.”
“Either we have too many kids, or we have too few. We don’t do it exactly as we should. We don’t put the hat on the baby.”
"And then people say, ‘Why doesn’t your baby have a hat?’ And I say, ‘Would you like to come and put the hat on the baby? She’ll take it off and throw it at you.”
After ten years of experience, Hilaria revealed the best way to breastfeed her child.
She said: “Right after I have a baby, I pump all the time, but only for three minutes, just to stimulate production.”
"At this point, I freeze about 30 to 50 ounces a day on top of feeding her.”
