His Wife Was Out Of Town, So He Did Something Awesome To Their Laundry Room

#1 This is what he had to work with...not hideous, but not relaxing, either.

#2 The plugs were ugly and exposed.

#3 The cabinets were cheap (and definitely looked it).

#4 The first step was to get some paint on the walls, and to prep the room for the renovation.

#5 Once that was done, he had to get this fluorescent light out of there.

#6 He got a butcher-block countertop, unfinished, for a good price.

#7 All he had to do was give it a good sand and some stain.

#8 It already looks 100x better!

#9 But there was still tons of work to be done before it was all finished.

#10 Once he installed the overhead cabinets, he completed the beautiful stone backsplash.

#11 Crown molding on the cabinetry adds an elegant touch.

#12 You didn't forget about the lighting, did you? Track lighting is so much more soothing than that big white light.

#13 This looks more like a cozy kitchen or living room to me!

For just a week's worth of DIY-ing...this is really impressive!
