Home Invaders Sent Running For Their Lives When Armed Resident Opens Fire

According to local authorities, an armed resident in Pennsylvania engaged four home invasion suspects, resulting in two of them being wounded by gunfire.

The Northampton County District Attorney's Office reported that at around 4 a.m. last Thursday, four men broke into a Bethlehem Township home where three people were present.

The suspects were identified as Millito Delgado, 45, Michael Matas, 29, Francis Ferrando, 23, and Anthony Santiago, 29.

Anthony Santiago, 29, is one of four suspects accused of breaking into a home in Bethlehem Township last week.

One of the individuals in the home used a firearm to defend against the intruders and opened fire on them.

The district attorney's office stated that Matas suffered seven back injuries and was listed in critical but stable condition, while Ferrando sustained a single bullet wound to the leg.

After the incident, the Bethlehem Township Police Department arrested Matas, Ferrando, and Delgado, but Santiago remains at large.

The Northampton County District Attorney's Office charged all four individuals with three counts of robbery with attempted serious bodily injury, two counts of possessing an instrument of crime, burglary, simple assault, and associated offenses, according to their press statement given to Fox News Digital.

The district attorney's office praised the police department's quick response and attention to detail, and they assured the public that there is no risk to their safety.

Northampton County District Attorney Terry Houck expressed his confidence in the ongoing investigation and stated that they are committed to apprehending the fourth suspect.

The Bethlehem Township Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in locating Santiago, who has a warrant for his arrest. 

Houck advised the public not to approach Santiago and leave it to the police instead.

The investigation into the incident is still underway, and the identity of the resident who discharged their firearm at the suspects has not been disclosed. Local authorities are urging anyone with information about the case or Santiago's whereabouts to come forward.

"This was first-rate work by the Bethlehem Township Police Department. I want to thank Chief Gregory Gottschall and his officers for their immediate response and attention to detail in this case. Although there is still much to do, I am confident no stone will be unturned in our effort to apprehend the fourth male," Northampton County District Attorney Terry Houck said.
